Manchester United are keeping tabs on Nigel de Jong's contract talks at AC Milan.
The Dutchman's current deal expires in June.
If an agreement can't be reached then the Dutchman will be available in the summer on a free.
Louis van Gaal is looking to add a combative midfielder to his ranks at the end of the season and De Jong could fit the bill, says the Daily Star.
