Man Utd midfielder Sabitzer: Nagelsmann relationship changed at Bayern Munich

Manchester United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer says his relationship with Julian Nagelsmann has changed.

Sabitzer was Nagelsmann captain at RB Leipzig, but struggled when reunited with his coach at Bayern Munich.

Currently on-loan at United from Bayern, he told BILD: "He knew me from Leipzig and knew my strengths and weaknesses. In Leipzig we exchanged ideas extremely often, he made me captain.

"I had my best time in Leipzig under Julian and made progress as a player and as a person. When I came to Munich, I had my usual coaching environment - but a completely different level in the team: there is a collection of world-class players who have won everything. That's a different house number.

"We didn't quarrel. In a year and a half I didn't have a negative discussion with him in Munich. There was an exchange, but it has changed compared to Leipzig. The constellation was different: At that time I was the captain of a young team, his extended arm. In Munich I was one of many. That's why it wasn't easy for everyone involved."
