Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard admits his error against Young Boys was the worst of his career.
Lingard's loose pass led to the Swiss' winner in their Champions League group encounter.
"That's what I'm saying about football – look how quickly there's another game and how you can bounce back," Lingard told the club's website.
"Obviously, it was a mistake [against Young Boys], and it's probably the worst mistake I've made in my whole career playing football, to be honest. But things like that happen, it's a mistake, we're human, I didn't see the guy and obviously he's scored.
"Of course, you're going to get people chatting rubbish online, but I don't read into that, I'm too grown up for that now. I got back on the training pitch the next day and back to work and I concentrated on facing West Ham, and that's how it is.
"That's football; you get a chance to redeem yourself and bounce back and I thought I did that in great style."
