Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley feels he can score goals at international level.
Cleverley is unlikely to start today in Poland.
"I am happy to start anywhere for my country - I'm sure anyone would be - but the more natural midfield position for me is the deeper one," he said. "That's where I play more often for my club but I played No10 in the Olympics and I like getting forward from that position.
"Scoring more goals from midfield was one of my targets at the start of the season. I was disappointed with that last season [he failed to score in 15 appearances] but I have managed to get on the scoresheet twice in six games for my club now and I have been in a number of scoring opportunities for England.
"I know it is not getting in the positions that is lacking but a cool head in front of goal is and perhaps a bit of luck sometimes.
"I haven't scored yet but I am sure once one goes in they will start flooding in. I am working hard on my finishing and so are all the other midfielders so hopefully we can chip in.
"The goals provided by Gerrard, Lampard and [Paul] Scholes have been a huge part of England over the past 10 years and it is up to the youngsters now to carry that tradition on."
