Manchester United midfielder Casemiro allegedly sought alternative medical advice for a recent injury.

The Brazilian is out of action for the time being with a muscle problem, which has kept him out of international duty as well.

According to Brazilian news outlet Trivela, the veteran complained to United about a hamstring problem leading up to the game against Liverpool.

However, he was passed fit for the game, only for Casemiro to go to a doctor in Barcelona to discover there was a small issue in the same hamstring he injured earlier in the season.

Questions are now being asked about United's medical staff and whether they are up to par.

Casemiro is likely to be out for a few weeks at the very least, provided he does not further aggravate the problem.
