Michael Carrick is desperate to stay involved with England as the European Championships approach.
The 34-year-old Manchester United midfielder did not feature for the Three Lions at Euro2012 in Poland and Ukraine or at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil but is now determined to force his way into Roy Hodgson's plans for next summer's Euros in France.
"Of course I would like to go," he said.
"I have been involved in the squad since the World Cup. I am looking to stay involved as much as I can.
"It is down to me to play enough here and play well enough to warrant a place."
