Man Utd match a great night for Kansas City - Arnaud

Kansas City Wizards midfielder Davy Arnaud rated Sunday's friendly win over Manchester United as a great night for soccer in the region.

The Wizards defeated the 18-time English champions 2-1 at Arrowhead Stadium thanks to goals from himself and Kei Kamara and he was buoyant after the occasion of scoring against one of the world's biggest clubs.

"It was very special, for one of the best clubs in the world to come to Kansas City and for us to have over 50,000 people, it was a really special night. It was obviously a great thing for the Wizards, but also for the fans. They came out and supported the game and hopefully they enjoyed it," Arnaud said.

The 30-year old recalled his goal and said the win would put the club in a good position for the remainder of the MLS season.

"Teal (Bunbury) held the ball up well, so I tried to make a run because I knew he would play it back to Kei (Kamara). Kei saw me and played a perfect ball behind their defense. I had some time to think about it, I put it on frame and it went in. It was a good feeling, and a good time for us to score," he added.

"As a group we have a lot of confidence in ourselves. In the last two games we've gotten big results, so hopefully this will propel us into the rest of the season."
