Ralf Rangnick believes Scott McTominay is a future captain of Manchester United.
The Scotland midfielder scored the only goal in Monday's FA Cup third-round win over Aston Villa.
Asked about McTominay's performance, Rangnick said: "He is an academy boy, his energy is amazing.
"He now also starts scoring goals and also with some leadership skills.
"I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple of years he would be the captain of this team."
Having come through the club's academy ranks, 25-year-old McTominay has now racked up 155 appearances for the Red Devils.
