Manchester United were unhappy with how the England national team handled a Mason Greenwood situation earlier in his career.
The winger is presently out of action, with United suspending him when he was charged with rape and assault.
With the charges now dropped, United must decide what to do with Greenwood in the summer.
According to The Athletic, United were not pleased when Greenwood got a national team call-up in 2020.
They felt he was not ready and should focus on his club career for the moment.
Greenwood was eventually sent home from that squad gathering for breaking team rules.
