Manchester United are hoping they can win the race to sign in-demand Dutch defender Stefan De Vrij.
The 22-year old Feyenoord centre-back is a target for a number of clubs in England including Arsenal and Liverpool while Italian side Lazio are also showing considerable interest.
The Express suggests that the Red Devils are very keen on De Vrij after incoming United boss Louis van Gaal gave him his start with the Holland national team in 2012.
There are plenty of teams eyeing the nine-time international with Everton and Newcastle United also credited with an interest.
