On-loan midfielder Tom Cleverly has dropped a big hint indicating that he might be staying at Villa Park next season.
The 25-year old midfielder is in the last year of his contract at Manchester United and a host of clubs are reported to be interested in his services.
Cleverley scored his third goal in as many games for Villa in the 1-0 win over West Ham United on Saturday and credited the contribution of manager Tim Sherwood in his recent form, suggesting that he could be a permanent fixture in the West Midlands next term.
"I've really got to like playing for this club in the last few months," Cleverley said. "This manager, you have to give him credit for getting me where I am over the last few weeks.
"First and foremost you have to be playing at a club where you fit in, where you're playing in the position where you want to play and where you like the manager, the lads. This club ticks those boxes. I'm happy.
"All players have doubts when they're having a not so good patch. I'm no different, but I've got my head down and worked hard. With the help of the lads and the new manager I can get back to my best."
