Italian publication Il Tempo reports that Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is tracking AS Roma goalkeeper Alexander Doni for a January swoop. CSKA Moscow's Igor Akinfeev, Schalke's Manuel Neuer and Lyon's Hugo Lloris are three names being mentioned as potential targets for the Premier League champions, although Brazilian Doni looks to have forced himself onto the Red Devil's list.

With only four appearances to his name this term and with the cash-strapped Italian side desperate to cut their inflated wage bill, 30-year-old Doni looks likely to be ushered out the exit door.
