Manchester United legend Gary Neville has been impressed by Southampton pair Ricki Lambert and Adam Lallana.
Neville is part of England coach Roy Hodgson's staff.
"The thing about Lallana is that you want to see him at the highest level," said Neville.
"The game against Manchester City on the first game of the season and this particular game he's doing his chances no harm.
"I think that's the key for him, to play at this level.
"He's been fantastic from start to finish and any English player who's got that level of skill and ability and who performs week in week out must be in with a chance."
On Lambert, he also said: "Well, Andy Carroll pulled out, so you never know."
