Man Utd legend Neville defends quality of England strikers

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has jumped to the defence of England's strikers.

Neville has launched a staunch defence of the attacking talent available to boss Roy Hodgson, saying most teams would love the likes of West Ham United striker Andy Carroll in their side.

Neville said: "People always talk of a lack everything with England. Lack of this, lack of that, not enough this, not enough that.

"The reality is there are good forwards, the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck, Rooney, Jermaine Defoe and Carroll.

"You could argue when you look at the teams around the world, there would be quite a lot of teams who would want to pinch one or two of those."
