Manchester United legend Gary Neville says Anfield is holding back Liverpool.
Neville claimed Liverpool's inability to get permission to build a new stadium has denied them success.
"Anfield has held them back because every other big club - with the exception of Chelsea, who are owned by a Russian billionaire - has moved forward already, either by vastly increasing their current stadium or building a new one," wrote Neville in the Telegraph.
Neville, who played his whole career at Old Trafford, also suggested that Liverpool's failure to hold on to their stars comes from the nature of the city.
