Roy Keane says he won't return to management as an assistant.
The Manchester United legend left his role as number two behind Martin O'Neill at Nottingham Forest in November.
And Keane wants his next job to be the number one.
"I definitely want to have another crack. I don't think Real Madrid will be calling me," he said.
"If I go back to a club, it's got to be as a manager, simple as that.
"People talk about my role in the dressing room, particularly people who've never been in the dressing room with me, I used to kill three people a week!
"This image is hard to shake off. Have I made mistakes? Of course.
"Certain aspects of my management skills, I will probably make lots of mistakes."
