Manchester United legend Roy Keane has likened Kobbie Mainoo to a fellow Treble winner.

The superkid has been compared to Paul Scholes, but Keane thinks Mainoo is more like Nicky Butt.

"I would say that Kobbie Mainoo is more reminiscent of Nicky Butt than Paul Scholes, but that is because Scholes played higher up when he first came to Manchester United," Keane told the Stick to Football podcast.

"What makes these young players successful is their personalities and their temperament, so I would put Mainoo on par with Butt and Scholes in their first three months at the club.

"It's all about how players adapt to the first team and how they cope with the challenges when they play at Old Trafford, but from what I've seen, Mainoo looks good, but he has a lot to learn in that position."
