Manchester United legend Roy Keane wants West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long and Sunderland winger James McClean to start for the Republic of Ireland tonight against Italy.
Keane wrote in The Sun: "There was a campaign to get James McClean into the side but there shouldn't have to be. He was playing well in the Prem and he deserved a chance.
"Shane Long is a Prem player who got goals and yet he's behind Keane who is in the MLS, Doyle who is set for the Championship, Simon Cox who couldn't get a game for Long's club West Brom and Jon Walters.
"Let's have a look at other players who are in the squad tomorrow."
