Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is likely to miss out on the chance of managing Championship side Nottingham Forest, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Giggs has been considering an exit from United following the departure of Louis van Gaal and the Welshman is now said to be eyeing up a move as a full-time manager away from Old Trafford.
A move to the City Ground to manage Forest had been seen as a possibility for Giggs but now according to reports, the 42-year-old looks set to miss out on the opportunity as Forest are believed to be looking to appoint a foreign coach instead.
Potential new majority shareholder Evangelos Marinakis wants a foreigner to step into the role last held by Paul Williams, after Dougie Freedman's stint in charge, and will opt against appointing Giggs.
Giggs could still remain at United, however, with the club holding hope he may take an alternative role to the one he held under van Gaal last term.
