Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton has welcomed new signing Michael Owen to the club.
"When you lose players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez, it creates a problem," said the Reds' director and 1968 European Cup winner.
"Michael is 29 and has a lot of time ahead of him. He has had a lot of injuries in his time and we have to be very careful.
"But the signs look very good. It looks like we have made a very good decision."
