Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Pep Guardiola.

According to French publication L'Equipe, the Bayern Munich manager met with United officials in Paris last week regarding the Old Trafford job.

Guardiola has told Bayern he will leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season and there has subsequently been plenty of talk about his future.

Manchester City appears to be the most likely destination for the former Barcelona boss but L'Equipe suggests that a secret meeting with the Red Devils took place at the swanky Le Bristol Paris.

If the reports are to be believed, it certainly throws Guardiola's mooted move to the Etihad Stadium into doubt with City's crosstown rivals hoping to beat their noisy neighbours to the in-demand Spaniard.
