Manchester United have three nominations in UEFA's Club Footballer of the Year award list.
The winner will be presented at a special awards ceremony in Monte Carlo next week.
The three players that went all the way to last season's Champions League final, where United lost to Barcelona in Rome, are goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, defender Nemanja Vidic and forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who has since joined Real Madrid.
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech and defender John Terry, and Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard were also nominated.
