Manchester United are happy to send fullback Fabio da Silva on-loan to QPR.
The Daily Mail says the Brazilian full-back was destined for a switch to Benfica and he and his family were keen on a move to a club with such strong South American ties.
However, United believe a move within the Premier League would be best suited to his development and Mark Hughes is eager to take him to QPR where he hopes the 21-year-old's attacking prowess can be put to good use.
Under Mark Bowen's tutelage he should also develop defensively which has been his major flaw while at United.
