Manchester United powerbrokers are ready to hand Wayne Rooney a new contract.
The News of the World says Rooney is to be offered a stunning new contract in line with the biggest earners in the Premier League.
The Manchester United ace has been left behind in the pay stakes by John Terry, Frank Lampard, Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez and Robinho, who all earn over £150,000 a week.
The United striker, who still has three years left on his £105,000-a-week deal, is to be approached by Old Trafford officials when his agent Paul Stretford's FA ban ends later in the year.
