According to reports from the Daily Star, Paul Ince is being touted to take over the vacant managerial position at Middlesbrough.
Following a poor run of results, Middlesbrough decided to dispense with the services of Aitor Karanka as manager and assistant Steve Agnew has been put in temporary charge of the club.
It is widely believed that the Boro hierarchy will appoint a more permanent option within the next few weeks and surprise reports emerging out of England have claimed that former Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Notts County and MK Dons boss Ince is currently in pole position to take over the reins at the Riverside Stadium.
Ince started Tuesday as a 40/1 chance to take the Boro job but there has been smart money around and he is now into as little as 3/1 with some betting agencies.
