Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly spoken of his distress at the way Manchester United handled the sacking of David Moyes.
The Scotsman was relieved of his role on Tuesday just 10 months after replacing Ferguson in the Old Trafford hotseat in what has been a mediocre debut season in charge of the Red Devils.
Speaking at a charity lunch in front of 300 people, Ferguson said he found it 'upsetting the way it came out', according to the Daily Mail.
The story of Moyes' potential sacking broke on Monday afternoon with internet sites all over the world picking up the news before the actual decision was made by the United board on Tuesday morning.
United's handling of the situation has also been criticized by the League Managers' Association who believe the famous club acted in an 'unprofessional manner'.
