Manchester United fullback Alexander Buttner admits last season's 6-1 thrashing by Manchester City is news to him.

It is a measure of the focus United are giving to Sunday's first clash of this campaign between the two most obvious Premier League title challengers, that no-one has bothered to mention it.

"I don't know about this game," said Buttner, when asked about the shock reverse.

"I was not here and no-one has spoken about it. It won't happen again."
