Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard could be missing for the remainder of the season.
The Sun says United doctors expected keeper Lindegaard to be out for a month after the injury in a January training session.
But despite stepping up his comeback two weeks ago, Lindegaard is now back working with physios.
United are adamant they will not take any risks with the Dane, 27, and are working on building up the strength in his ankle.
Boss Alex Ferguson has been told there is no specific date for a return and Lindegaard is making slow progress.
