Manchester United have first refusal on Corinthians youngster Dodo.
The player is under contract until the end of 2012 and there is some confusion over how long United's agreement lasts.
"Manchester have priority until February 15," said Corithians president Andres Sanchez to Lancenet. "If they pay 9million euros (around £7.9m), what can I do?"
However, agent Wagner Ribeiro insists the first option runs until 2011, giving United boss Sir Alex Ferguson more time to not only consider whether to progress with the deal but also to overcome any red tape problems.
Now he has turned 18, Dodo is being lined up for another stint in Manchester after spending a fortnight there last year.
