Manchester United have been encouraged in their interest for Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.
BILD says United have been alerted to the fact the German international has yet to agree an extension with the Bundesliga side with talks stalling between both parties.
Goretza's wage demands are giving Bayern a 'headache' as the attacking midfielder wants to be among the club's top earners alongside Leroy Sane following his move from Manchester City.
Bayern are also struggling to tie down Kingsley Coman and Joshua Kimmich to long-term deals.
The report states the Germans will have a problem retaining their stars which has led to United's interest in Goretzka.
Goretzka has been a standout performer for Bayern since moving from Schalke in 2018 and enjoyed his best season last term as he reached double-digit goals for club and country.
Bayern will be hoping to keep a hold of Goretzka but could be forced to sell him this summer if he doesn't agree new terms to avoid losing him on a free in 12 months time.
