Raphael Varane has no problems with competition at Manchester United.
New manager Erik ten Hag has signed Lisandro Martinez this summer, who he worked with at Ajax.
Ten Hag has already confirmed that Harry Maguire will captain the team, calling into question Varane's spot in the team.
But the Frenchman, who has won four Champions League titles, isn't worried.
"Competition is good for the team," he told BBC Sport. "Harry is a very important player for us. He's the captain and obviously he has a lot of good qualities.
"The team will always be better with this competition. Every great club is like this. If everyone wants to fight for the team, that's a good thing."
