Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is weighing up international retirement. The Daily Mail says Ferdinand is set to abandon his dream of playing for England with manager Roy Hodgson set to snub the Manchester United defender again.
The 33-year-old had hoped the international retirement of John Terry - who was banned by the FA last week for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand - would pave the way for his return.
However it is understood Hodgson will deliver the latest blow for Ferdinand by overlooking him for England's forthcoming World Cup 2014 qualifiers against San Marino and Poland when he names his squad on Thursday.
