Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has hit out at Liverpool fans on Twitter. Ferdinand has rapped Liverpool supporters, calling them 'bitter'.

Ferdinand launched the tirade on Twitter, reminding the Merseysiders that United now have a record 19 league titles.

Ferdinand wrote on his Twitter page: "Most bitter fans on twitter are liverpool fans #fact what's the problem guys, enjoy your team + don't worry about Man Utd!! 19".

He later commented: "Got to say I love the banter on here! I view Hate as a form of Envy with some of you guys so keep it tidy!".
