Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand's England career is over.
The Sun says England boss Roy Hodgson is set to bring Ferdinand's career to an abrupt end when he names his World Cup qualifying squad for the games against San Marino and Poland this morning.
Ferdinand was controversially omitted from Hodgson's Euro 2012 squad for what he called "football reasons" - rather than his brother Anton's race case with Chelsea skipper John Terry.
And Ferdinand, 33, has not played for England since.
