Manchester United are continuing talks with Everton for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines. The Daily Mail says talks were continuing on Friday night between the two clubs and United, who had a £36million offer rejected for the pair on Thursday, anticipated making a breakthrough on Fellaini.
Should talks progress as United hope, they could even have a deal in place by Sunday night.
Fellaini's advisers have held talks with Everton and reiterated that he wants to move to Old Trafford to be reunited with David Moyes.
It is increasingly likely that Baines will remain at Goodison Park, though, as Everton have insisted all along that he is not for sale.
