Man Utd co-owner Ratcliffe in Southgate contact

Manchester United investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to replace Erik ten Hag in the summer.

The United head coach appears to be hanging onto his job by a thread, despite progressing to the FA Cup semi finals.

Per Daily Star, Ratcliffe is eager to replace Ten Hag with England boss Gareth Southgate.

Ratcliffe and INEOS are impressed by the work that Southgate has done with the Three Lions.

The outlet states that Ratcliffe and his head of sport Sir Dave Brailsford have only heard endorsements of Southgate.

Many United fans may find the appointment underwhelming, given his poor spells as a club manager.
