Man Utd chiefs revive plans to bring Ronaldo back from Real Madrid

Manchester United are being linked with a fresh bid for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Sun says United could revive their bid to re-sign Ronaldo after being told they have no chance of luring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League.

Old Trafford chiefs could now reignite their interest in bringing Ronaldo back to the club.

United boss Louis van Gaal has previously admitted a desire to land the 29-year-old, although he conceded any potential swoop could prove difficult.

Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, has continually refuted talk of a sensational return to United for his client.

Ronaldo's Madrid release clause currently stands at whopping €1b.
