Manchester United officials are becoming increasingly confident of landing Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Daily Mail says highly-placed sources at his former club are increasingly certain that he would like to return to Old Trafford.
"Cristiano left us because he thought the grass was greener," one insider revealed. "I think now he probably realises that it isn't."
United know they face stiff competition for the Portuguese, with PSG and AS Monaco keen.
But Old Trafford chiefs are convinced the emotional pull of a return for Ronaldo can offset the spending power of their French rivals.
