Man Utd chiefs ignore LvG moans as US return planned next summer

Manchester United chiefs will ignore Louis van Gaal's moaning about this summer's tour of the US.

The Telegraph says United plan to return to America to play a series of friendlies next summer despite new manager Van Gaal's criticism of this year's tour.

United are to discuss 2015 pre-season tour plans with Van Gaal next month after being invited to return to the United States to stage lucrative friendlies in New York, Dallas and Chicago next summer.

Although senior figures at United have insisted that Van Gaal will play a central role in outlining the format of the pre-season campaign next year, the club have also made it clear that their annual globe-trotting will continue under the demanding Dutch manager.

United's major sponsors Chevrolet and Aon have been made aware of the club's desire to return to the States next summer, despite both regarding the Far East as a key area for exploitation in their partnership with the team.
