Man Utd chief Woodward plays down talk of big spending summer

Incoming Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward has played down talk of a big spending spree this summer.

Woodward has told supporters not to anticipate too much incoming transfer activity this summer.

In a conference call covered by Sky Sports, he said: "I wouldn't expect there to be a major retooling of the squad. There is incredible depth. We could put two first teams out with 11 internationals in each."
