Manchester United chief Ed Woodward says money is available for a "stellar signing". United continue to be linked with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

Woodward says United manager David Moyes will be backed in the transfer market.

"We haven't got money burning a hole in our pocket but we have got a strategy on player purchases and if David wants to go after a stellar player he can do that," said Woodward.
