Man Utd, Chelsea see opening for Arsenal's Walcott

Arsenal risk losing Theo Walcott for just £400,000 over manager Arsene Wenger's decision to suspend all new contract talks until the summer. The Daily Star says Arsenal run the risk of losing England star Walcott - whose advisers have become increasingly frustrated by the club dragging their feet - for just £400,000.

FIFA rules mean any buying club would just have to pay £80,000 training costs for every year that Walcott, 20, has been at Arsenal.

That would equate to just under £400,000 by the time his contract expires in the summer of 2010.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all watching developments.
