Manchester United have received fresh encouragement in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski. BVB chief Michael Zorc has declared Lewandowski will not be sold to Bayern Munich.
The Daily Mail says United, for whom Lewandowski is a long-term target, will be looking to strike as he is now likely to leave for a club outside the Bundesliga.
The Red Devils are keen to add the Polish striker to their ranks but face major competition from recent treble winners Bayern Munich.
Chelsea could also move for Lewandowski as they are in the market for a striker - currently Stevan Jovetic, Edinson Cavani and Hulk are targets.
