Man Utd challenge Arsenal for Bayern Munich's Mandzukic

Manchester United are being linked with Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Daily Express says United have joined Arsenal in their interest for the Croatia international.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed he's keen on bringing Mandzukic to England this month, but will face competition from United should he become available.

Mandzukic has scored 12 goals in 21 games for Bayern this season, but has seen his long-term future in Munich under threat from Robert Lewandowski, who will join in the summer from Borussia Dortmund.

United boss David Moyes has been following Mandzukic since he was in charge of Everton and is waiting for encouragement from Bayern to revive his interest.
