Manchester United captain Ashley Young admits players are now concerned for their safety after a day of pitch invaders.
Aston Villa star Jack Grealish was punched from behind by a thug supporting arch rivals Birmingham in the Midlands derby.
Then United defender Chris Smalling was clipped round the face by an Arsenal hooligan during the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.
After United's defeat, Young told beIN Sports: "What message can you put out any more? That's the third time a fan has managed to get on the pitch – what if they are carrying something?
"The players will be in danger.
"It is something the FA, Premier League, Fifa, it's got to be done maybe with extra stewarding or whatever.
"It's a concern with the one earlier and the one with Chrissy, something has definitely go to be done."
