Man Utd captain Maguire: Solskjaer deserves credit for Shaw form

Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire believes manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has played a key role in the improvement of left back Luke Shaw.

The England fullback has enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career, and is currently viewed as one of the top left backs in the Premier League.

Maguire spoke about his personal relationship with Shaw, and how Solskjaer has brought out the best from the 25-year-old.

He told Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville on the Overlap: "I feel like my relationship with my left back throughout my career, I've always had a good one, I built a really good one with Ben Chilwell at Leicester, I had a good one with Andy Robertson at Hull.

"Luke's belief, confidence, he has all the ability in the world. But I think the gaffer's got to take a lot of credit for what he's done to Luke and made him believe that he should be playing and he can go on to be one of the best left backs around."
