Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has hailed Scott McTominay's performance against Leeds as "one of the best I've seen" after Sunday's 6-2 victory.
McTominay had United off to the perfect start, scoring two superb goals in the opening three minutes, thus becoming the first player to do so in Premier League history.
His brace set United on their way, before McTominay later produced a fine assist for Daniel James' goal in the second half to cap his stellar display, and leaving teammate Maguire in awe.
“You've seen in recent months how we've been relying on the forward lads in [Marcus] Rash[ford] and Bruno, so for Scott to score was great," Maguire told United's official website.
"He was magnificent – one of the best performances I've seen and played with on the pitch from a central midfielder.
“He deserved his two goals and it's nice for Victor [Lindelof] to get on the scoresheet as well, it's something we've worked on - a great touch from Anto[ny Martial] at the front post."
