Man Utd capable of winning FA Cup if we can get past Shrewsbury

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is confident that his team are capable of winning the FA Cup this season if they can get past League One club Shrewsbury Town on Monday night.

A quarter-final home fixture against West Ham United awaits for the winner of the fifth round tie and van Gaal suggests his side can go on a run provided the successful navigate the potential banana skin of the Salop at New Meadow.

"It's not a question of being the favourite," said van Gaal. "It's a question of having to see every match as a match you have to win.

"On Monday we have to win, and when we win we're in the next round and capable of winning the FA Cup.

"It's not always that you can say 'we shall win' and it's normal. It's not like that. But it's always possible."
