Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is delighted with the impact this season of captain Wayne Rooney.
Van Gaal says he will field his strongest available team at Hull City with skipper Rooney fit to return after recovering from a dead leg.
And the United boss said: "Wayne is a very good captain.
"I am very proud and I haven't had any disappointments with him this year.
"He is very good in the dressing room, he is always an example on the training pitch and in matches he always fights to the end. Wayne has also played in a lot of positions for me without ever complaining. And that's also what I like with Ashley Young.
"I like multi-functional players - the team needs these players.
"I think I made a very good decision with Wayne."
