Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag will count on Facundo Pellistri this season.

AS says a loan departure has been ruled out as the Uruguay midfielder recovers from an ankle injury.

Pellistri isn't expected to be fit to play until the first week of September.

United management believe his recovery is best served by staying with the club and Ten Hag is happy to have him as part of his new season squad.

This will also be Pellistri's first campaign with the United first team after spending a season and a half on loan at Alavés.
